Raspberry Pi – Patching & Updating

About once a week you should make sure your Pi is up to date and has the latest Patches. This can take a while to do if you've forgotten to do it in a while or it's been a while since you last powered on your Pi.

Connect to your Pi using PuTTY, then highlight the following block of commands and press Ctrl+C then right click on the PuTTY window answer yes to any prompts, and your done that simple.

By Copying the block of text PuTTY will paste in the buffer as a sequence of commands one after the other.

Warning :- Any driver you use that is not included in the kernel image will need re-installing whenever you update the kernel with a version suitable for the new kernel version.
